Bernalillo County spends thousands to clean up Pajarito Mesa

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County removed more than 400 tons of used tires from Pajarito Mesa.

Officials said they were taken from a private property after the county sued the owner for violating Bernalillo County’s Sold Waste Ordinance and asked a judge to allow crews onto the property.

The county spent $79,000 of grant money on the clean up.
