Bernalillo County asks for input on possible adult daycare

News

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County is working to create an adult daycare in the county but is looking for public comment.

Community members say there is a great need for a place where family members can take relatives who are suffering from Alzheimers or physical disabilities while they go to work.

Often times families can’t afford to stay home with them 24/7.

The county has been working for years to build the facility at the South Valley Multipurpose Center.

A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:00 where community members can provide feedback on the design.
