Cirque du Soleil is in town and on Thursday, KRQE News 13 got a behind-the-scenes look.
Crew members were busy at the Sandia Ana Star Center prepping costumes while performers practiced ahead of Thursday night’s first show. The show, which is called “Corteo,” tells the story of a clown who is dreaming about his funeral.
“The show is a celebration of life. We are going to see flashbacks of this clown when he was a kid, and used to play on his bed and pretend it was a trampoline, and we have four acrobats jumping from bed to bed and some high-level acrobatic tricks,” publicist Maxwell Batasta said.
The show runs through April 11-14. For ticket information, click here.
