BCSO investigating two separate homicides in South Valley

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate homicides in the South Valley. 

The first happened near Coors and Gun Club. Deputies found a man around 7 a.m. in a driveway with obvious signs of trauma. It was determined that the man was deceased and was identified as 42-year-old Carlos Armijo.

A few hours later deputies were called to a ditch near Bridge and Goff where another male body was found. The man was later identified as 49-year Manuel Barraza. Deputies say he had signs of trauma, their trauma unit is now investigating.
