Deputies arrested a suspect after a chase that happened on the interstate Monday morning.
According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were informed around 4 a.m. of a pursuit by Cibola County dispatch.
The pursuit began after a call involving the investigation of a motorist who fired a weapon at another vehicle in Zuni, New Mexico.
Multiple agencies assisted in the pursuit, which ended up in Bernalillo County. A spike belt was utilized and the pursuit ended in the area of 98th Street and I-40 around 5 a.m.
Deputies say the suspect, 25-year-old Roel Lahi, appeared to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.
