ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Fire Department and the Albuquerque Fire Department responded to a fire at the General Mills Plant on Tuesday morning.
BCFD officials say a call came in at 8:51 a.m. for a fire at General Mills.
According to officials, five units responded to an oven fire.
They say four workers were taken to the hospital and six others were treated on scene.
The fire has since been put out.
General Mills issued the following statement:
This morning at our Albuquerque plant a small fire occurred causing operations to be temporarily shut down. No serious injuries were sustained. We’re working with the local fire department to follow all necessary procedures. We expect the plan to resume operations later today.
