SANTA FE, NM (KRQE) – The state legislature will also consider a bill to require baby changing tables for all newly constructed restrooms in public places, for women and men.

The regulations would apply to restaurants, movie theaters, concert halls, grocery stores and more.

State officials say equipment and installation could cost up to $3000 and failure to comply could result in a nearly $300 fine.

The New Mexico bill is sponsored by democratic representative Andres Romero of Albuquerque.
