The pilot in a deadly helicopter crash near Raton had drugs in his system.
An autopsy revealed that Jamie Coleman Dodd was under the influence of a low concentration of fentanyl when the helicopter went down in January.
The crash killed Dodd, co-pilot Paul Cobb and Charles Burnett III along with Zimbabwean opposition leader Roy Bennett and Bennett’s wife, Heather.
The autopsy did not say whether Dodd was taking fentanyl for health reasons.
It also revealed Burnett had alcohol, amphetamine and oxycodone in his system.
