One of the two parents accused of prostituting their daughter was in court Thursday.
According to a motion filed in district court, attorneys for Teri Sanchez are asking a judge to reconsider keeping her behind bars until trial.
Sanchez and James Stewart were arrested after police found signs of abuse in addition to evidence Stewart had the girl performing sex acts in exchange for drugs.
In the motion, Sanchez’s attorneys cite new information and health concerns.
Thursday, the motion to review detention was put on hold due to a possible conflict of interest for the public defender’s office.
