APS to discuss allocating money to improve underfunded music program

News

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Public Schools board will meet Wednesday night to discuss spending $100 thousand on musical instruments.

The money would come from the Mill Levy Funds that are dedicated to purchasing educational equipment.

Last month, Governor Martinez line item vetoed wording that would allow the Albuquerque Police Department to use a portion of its capital outlay money toward musical instruments.
