A new state of the art facility is giving Albuquerque teachers the chance to upgrade their skills. The all-new Bernafacio Professional Development Complex is officially open and ready for teacher training.
The 48,000 square foot facility features breakout rooms with cutting edge technology, a full-service kitchen, and a specialized conference room.
“No longer with professional development be offered in a piecemeal matter in which teachers gather around tiny tables, sitting in tiny kindergarten chairs in an effort to grow professionally so that they can deal with the complex learning issues that we find in today’s society,” said APS Superintendent Raquel Reedy.
Saturday’s unveiling event also featured music and art displays from local students.
