APS: Lock down at Truman Middle School has been lifted

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Public Schools says the lock down at Truman Middle School in southwest Albuquerque has been lifted.

Around 1:15 p.m, APS said Truman Middle School was on lock down due to a security threat. Truman is on Snow Vista Boulevard SW near 86th Street.

APS said the lock down was lifted Friday afternoon around 3:00 p.m.

One parent KRQE News 13 spoke with was frustrated he wasn’t told more.

“Well, I think they could say a little more, but it’s a good thing they called us or text us,” parent Robert Chavez said.

Students were allowed to leave at their normal dismissal time.
