Apple wants to introduce new emojis that better represent people with disabilities.

The company sent a proposal to the organization that sets the global standard for emojis.

Apple is asking for 13 new additions to the emoji family.

They include an ear with a hearing aid, a person in a wheelchair, a prosthetic arm, a service dog and a person with a cane.

Apple says it’s just a starting point and not a comprehensive list of all potential new emojis.
