APD investigate deadly shooting in southeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Albuquerque Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in southeast Albuquerque.

Police responded to fired shots in the area of Elm and Thaxton around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Officers found one man dead.

Detectives say they have a person of interest but have not identified them because they have not been charged yet.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
