Albuquerque Police have demoted a commander in charge of internal affairs for lying.
Jennifer Garcia was in charge of the IA Division back in March when APD says she was caught backdating paperwork in an investigation to make it look like it was completed on time.
She’s now been demoted to lieutenant where she’ll work with patrol officers.
