Animal group removes over 100 animals from Clayton property

News

Nearly 120 animals are now in the care of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals after being removed from a property in Clayton.

On its Facebook page, the Dreampower Foundation calls itself a “sanctuary for older and other unwanted animals,” but the ASPCA said authorities discovered dogs and cats living in deplorable conditions and many of them appeared to be suffering from medical issues, injuries and neglect.

The animals were transported to a temporary shelter, where they’ll stay until custody is determined in court.
