Albuquerque’s inspector general is stepping down.
David Harper submitted his letter of resignation to the city Monday, saying he’s taking a new job in Florida.
Harper has only been on the job for two years after the city last went without an IG for four years.
The inspector general investigates fraud, waste and abuse in the city.
Harper’s last day will be Aug. 17.
His team most recently published a report showing problems with how contracts were picked for the ART project.
