Women across Albuquerque are coming together to help those in need.
Habitat for Humanity gathered more than 100 women volunteers to help build homes at Mesa del Rio Saturday.
For the next week, they will build affordable homes for two families in need.
That includes single mother Nicole Segarra, who was looking forward to helping construction.
“That’s one of my top things on the list. I’m excited,” said Segarra. “Cause she’s going to grow up and going to see this is the home she’s been in since she was a baby.”
The women also raised nearly $44 thousand to help offset the cost of building homes.
