Albuquerque woman worries leaning utility pole poses safety hazard

News

An Albuquerque woman says a utility pole is leaning into her yard, and she’s trying to find out who it belongs to.

The pole sits in the parking lot of a gymnastics school behind Heather Clark’s house near Morris and Menaul.

She says it was blown over during a wind storm last month and she worries it’s a fire hazard.

Clark called PNM, but said the company says it is not their pole.

She called Comcast, who sent a worker out, but the worker did not fix anything and left a note on her door.

“They didn’t tell me I needed to be home. I explained to them the access was in the parking lot behind my fence. It was public access and I explained to them how to get there,” Clark said.

Clark has also contacted CenturyLink to see if it’s their utility pole, but has not heard back.
