An Albuquerque woman celebrated an extraordinary milestone Saturday, turning 110 years old.
Nell Johnson was surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren at her senior care home in the foothills as she blew out the candles and opened her birthday cards.
Nell was also treated to her favorite meal- a burger, fries and a shake from McDonalds.
“Everyone should have a birthday party at McDonald’s,” says Johnson.
Nell has a long-time passion for iris farming and lived independently up until about six months ago.
It is not confirmed, but those close to her believe she may be the oldest living person in New Mexico.
