An Albuquerque woman is charged with stealing mail after postal inspectors caught her in the act.

A federal complaint says a witness reported a woman opening a community mailbox from behind, like a mail carrier would.

The witness was able to get the woman’s license plate number.

Investigators identified the woman as Felicia Gonzales.

They tracked Gonzales’ car with a GPS tracker and say they monitored her as she stole mail from boxes all over the metro.

She is charged with fraud and identity theft.
