Albuquerque SWAT situation ends, suspect in custody

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A burglary suspect is behind bars after a SWAT situation Monday.

The Albuquerque Police Department says officers responded to a home invasion near Comanche and Juan Tabo and found the victim’s TV and laptop were taken.

APD says an investigation led officers to the home of 42-year-old Tamera Rethmel. Police say she refused to come out, so SWAT officers were moved in.

Rethmel was eventually taken into custody and is now charged with aggravated burglary.
