ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A 30-year-old Albuquerque business is cleaning up after being burglarized.
Owners of El Charritos restaurant at Atrisco and Central say it happened Monday night.
Greg Pacheco says burglars disarmed the security alarm and ripped it from the wall.
He says the thieves then broke the register and stole items from the gift shop, and made their way around the restaurant.
“They had some kind of a saw that they cut right through our safe, took a large amount of money, jewelry,” said Pacheco.
Pacheco says he suspects it was someone who was familiar with his business.
He says the restaurant’s surveillance system could be watched from an app on his phone, but the line to it was cut.
