Primarily known as the home of Walter White, Albuquerque has been making quite a name for itself in the movie industry.
Now, the soon-to-be Netflix hub has conquered the top of a list dedicated to the creation of movies.
Website MovieMaker has listed Albuquerque as the number one big city on its “Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker 2019” list.
Albuquerque is listed as having 50 productions filmed on site in the past three years alone.
“The Goldfinch” and”Too Old to Die Young” were just a couple of upcoming projects listed to be filmed in the desert city.
Albuquerque beat out Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia for the top spot on the list.
MovieMaker also listed Santa Fe as the number three on a list of the best small cities and towns to live and work as a moviemaker.
The city was commended for its Film Commission as well as its picturesque landscape that provided the backgrounds of “Godless”, “Hostiles”, and “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”.
