ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police are looking for a suspect in a stabbing that occurred late Friday night.

Police say officers responded to a call in the area of 4th St. and Central Ave. at about 11:50 p.m. Once there, officers located a man that had been stabbed multiple times. The man was transported to the hospital where it was determined he had been stabbed 7 times. He is in stable condition and expected to survive.

Witnesses say that prior to being stabbed, the victim was involved in a physical fight.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time and they are working with witnesses to identify a suspect.
