ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are currently searching for a person in connection to an armed robbery and shooting that happened last month.

On Jan. 30th, police were dispatched to Coad’s Rare Coins in northeast Albuquerque to investigate an armed robbery in which one of the offenders had possibly been shot.

While still at that scene, officers received word that a man who had just been dropped off at Lovelace Women’s Hospital had died from a gunshot wound.

Police have identified the man who died as 32-year-old John Davis.

Detectives are still looking for a second person in connection to the incident. The person is described as about 40-years-old, Hispanic and heavy-set.

Officials are in the process of analyzing surveillance video both from the coin store and the hospital, which they plan to release in the hopes that someone will be able to help identify the subject.
