Albuquerque offers frights and fun for the family this Halloween weekend

Lots of events are going on in Albuquerque this weekend to get you in the mood for Halloween.

Friday night, the Balloon Museum is hosting the “BOO-lloon Mania” where you can decorate your own luminarias and carve pumpkins.

Admission is free but donations to the museum’s education programs are welcomed.

Costumes are encouraged.

Looking for something truly frightening? The second floor of the museum will feature Phantasmalodeon, a creepy Halloween experience that is not for the faint of heart that features classic horror characters. Not meant for young children.

Saturday, the zoo is hosting the annual Zoo Boo for kids to trick or treat around the BioPark.

To finish the weekend, dress in your Halloween best and head to the Open Space Visitor Center to learn about the animals that are part of the Bosque.
