Albuquerque murder suspect arrested after SWAT standoff in Espanola

ESPANOLA, N.M. (KRQE) – A man accused of murdering his Albuquerque neighbor after a fight has been caught in Espanola.

Raymond Ortiz, 27, is accused of shooting 50-year-old Tony Morgan on the street near Bridge and Coors. Witnesses said they heard Morgan arguing with Ortiz.

Ortiz was arrested Monday morning after a SWAT standoff at the Motel 6 in Espanola.

Police have not said what the fight between Ortiz and Morgan was about.
