ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Physicists at Sandia National Laboratory are playing with fire in the form of the heat of the sun.

Sandia National Laboratory says experiments conducted at 4.1 million degrees have found ways to predict the sun’s behavior and use the information to understand how the sun works.

Sandia Labs used their “Z machine” pulsed power facility to conduct the experiments.
