ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday. It happened near Lead Ave. and 6th St. around 12 p.m.
APD said they are searching for a car involved in the shooting, claiming it was a road rage incident.
They believe the driver of a silver car was shot and rolled into the sign of a nearby apartment complex. The victim was taken to the hospital and died there.
People who work and live nearby the scene of the crime say while they are shocked to come across the scene hours after the shooting… they say they’re not surprised something like this happened. “People are very short tempered and you just pray that you are not at the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Albuquerque Downtown resident, Tina LaPorta.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
