ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials responded to a fire in Albuquerque. The fire was in the bosque.

Officials with the Albuquerque Fire Rescue said they were called to a fire in the bosque near Central and Sunset NW. They were told flames were reaching six feet high.

AFR officials said the fire grew to about a quarter of an acre before they were able to contain it.

As of 5:50 p.m. Thursday, crews were working on hot spots to make sure the wind doesn’t cause the fire to flare up again.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and no one was reported to be injured.
