Brushfire breaks out on Kirtland Air Force Base

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Fire crews have a brush fire under control at Kirtland Air Force Base.

Officials say a 100-acre fire burned in the northeast section of the base earlier Saturday evening. At last report, the fire is 80% contained. Crews set up a perimeter and will be mopping up hot spots through the night. No structures were threatened and the cause is under investigation.
