Route 66 reopens near Carnuel

CARNUEL, N.M. (KRQE) – Route 66 has reopened near the I-40 Carnuel exit after a brush fire Monday afternoon.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert around 3:15 p.m. The road reopened just after 6:00 p.m.

There is no word on the cause of the brush fire.
