ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque authorities responded to a bomb threat on Saturday.
According to the police, the Bomb Unit responded to the area near 529 Jefferson Street NE around 12 p.m. Lomas and Jefferson traffic lanes were shut down but later reopened.
Officials said the threat was made to the Adet Yeshua Messianic Synagogue after someone called a crisis hotline, stating they had a bomb at the location. Police found a “suspicious backpack” inside, but it was eventually determined to be a medic bag. No bombs or other items were found.
The FBI has been contacted to investigate the incident.
