APD identifies body discovered near downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police have identified the victim whose body was discovered Thursday in downtown Albuquerque.

Around 6:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Commercial and Indian School next to the railroad tracks after police say a caller had reported seeing a male subject on the ground with what looked like a gunshot to his abdomen.

When officers and first responders arrived, they confirmed the subject was deceased. The Albuquerque Police Department has identified the male as Jonathon Marino.

This scene is being investigated as a violent crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
