BioPark's Komodo dragon dies

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - The BioPark is saying goodbye to one of its longest-tenured residents.

The zoo announced 19-year-old Komodo dragon "Nancy" died Friday.

She showed signs of sickness the last few weeks and was taken to a specialist who found an inoperable mass.

She was euthanized.

Komodo dragons typically live 30 years.

Nancy had been at the BioPark since 2002.
