Bernalillo County continues attempt to rename road in honor of late priest

Albuquerque News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County approved a resolution to rename a stretch of Coors Blvd. for a local priest killed in a crash. Father Graham Golden was hit and killed while pulling onto Coors last month while leaving a South Valley Abbey.

The chance would apply from Central down to the county line. Since Coors is a state highway, the Department of Transportation has the final say, but commissioners say they hope the resolution will encourage the state to make the dedication.
