ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash on Coors Blvd. and Bridge Blvd. in southwest Albuquerque was critically injured according to authorities. The Albuquerque Police Department reports the crash happened on Thursday just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Coors and Bridge.

Police say a gray 1999 Dodge truck was traveling northbound on Coors in the right lane and was traveling through the intersection at Bridge. A black 2019 Dodge Charger was traveling southbound on Coors and was making a left turn to travel eastbound on Bridge.

According to police, as the Charger was making the left turn it pulled in front of the Dodge truck and was struck on the right side causing heavy damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Charger received serious injuries in the crash and was transported to UNMH where he was last known to be in critical condition.

APD reports alcohol was not a factor for the driver of the Dodge truck and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor for the driver of the Dodge Charger. This investigation remains ongoing.
