Albuquerque man arrested after fleeing crash scene

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is behind bars after fleeing the scene of a crash.

Police say Morris Mora was spotted in a stolen car Sunday night on Albuquerque’s westside. According to a criminal complaint, when the officer started to follow him he sped away, weaving in and out of traffic. A short time later, police received a call about a crash near 12th Street and Griegos Road involving the same car.

Witnesses say Mora and his passenger, Eboni Palma took off on foot. When police caught up to the pair, Mora told officers he fled because he thought he had a traffic warrant.
