The Albuquerque Isotopes got a little help from some very special visitors at Media Day.
The team partnered with Animal Humane for a baseball card photo shoot.
Players and coaches posed with dogs at Animal Humane looking for new homes. Animal Humane says it’s a great way to raise awareness about the number of homeless pets and need for adoption.
“By the time player cards come out, usually the dogs are already adopted, but this is just a way to remind people when they get the player cards, Animal Humane New Mexico is here with adoptable pets everyday,” Christina Theis said.
The Isotopes season starts in Salt Lake City this Thursday. Their home opener is next Tuesday.
