Albuquerque family continues elaborate holiday lights tradition

An Albuquerque man is once again asking for help bringing families joy this Christmas.

Last year, KRQE News 13 told you about David McCutcheon and his family’s annual tradition.

Thousands of visitors come by to see he and his wife and grandkids dress up as the Clauses and elves, and the elaborate decorations.

Getting a picture with Santa Claus is free.

The McCutcheons ask those who can to please leave a warm item, like socks or beanies they can donate to the homeless.

“I want to thank everybody in New Mexico for their generosity because last year we didn’t get that five to ten bags, we got 120 bags,” David McCutcheon said.

The McCutcheons live at 12204 Pine Ridge Avenue NE, near Indian School and Juan Tabo.
