ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque mom is facing charges for lying about her baby’s broken arm.
Stephanie Munoz, 18, and Frank Lopez took their 4-month-old baby girl to the University of New Mexico Hospital Thursday. According to a criminal complaint, doctors immediately became concerned by the break, saying it had to be a result of abuse.
When questioned, the couple denied knowing anything.
Lopez later confessed, saying he grabbed her when she started to roll off the bed. Both were arrested.
