Albuquerque bowling alley named in wrongful death lawsuit

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque bowling alley is named in a wrongful death lawsuit after a deadly hit-and-run.

The driver, Vi-Nhat Nguyen, is charged with vehicular homicide. Last month, she says she went to dinner and bowling at the Lucky Bowl on Fourth Street where she admits to drinking a few beers.

According to the criminal complaint, Nguyen says when she was leaving, something “hit her vehicle,” and she got scared and drove home.

Now, the victim’s fiance has filed a lawsuit claiming Lucky Bowl over-served Nguyen and they should have known by getting into her car she posed a risk to the public.

Nguyen is not named in the lawsuit.
