ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – There’s a new animal at the Albuquerque BioPark. The aquarium now features three “chambered nautiluses.” They’re releated to the octopus and squid. Newly hatched nautiluses develop an average of 30 chambers. The chambers are filled with gas so it can float. It has existed for 500 million years even before dinosaurs. They refer to it as a living fossil.
