Albuquerque BioPark to celebrate Global Tiger Day

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque BioPark is hoping you can help them celebrate Global Tiger Day.

In the early 1900s there were 100,000 tigers roaming their range. Today, only around 3,000 exist in the wild.

Saturday, the BioPark will host an event where you can learn more about tigers and their conservation efforts.

You can also watch the zoo’s Malayan tiger, Penari, enjoy a special enrichment activity.

Penari was brought to the zoo in February and is part of a species survival plan.
