News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Do you know how old your smoke alarm is? If it’s older than 10 years old you should get a new one.

Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Fire Departments will be handing out free smoke alarms to those that need them. It’s part of “Fire Prevention Week.”

They will distribute two free smoke alarms per household while supplies last.

Albuquerque homeowners can pick up smoke alarms at the Fire Marshal’s Office located at 724 Silver SW (8th/Silver, behind Fire Station 1) during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
