The city of Alamogordo is getting a big and much-anticipated gift.
Holloman Air Force Base has donated one of its two remaining Q-F4’s.
The city plans to display the retired aircraft to honor those who helped build it and worked on it.
The Q-F4 will sit at the south end of Alameda Park on White Sands Boulevard and 10th Street.
It still needs a paint job and a platform, but the city hopes to have it on display by the end of the year.
