New Mexico State University is gearing up to meet Clemson on the court in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Aggies arrived in San Diego Wednesday ahead of Friday night’s game against the 5th seeded Tigers.
This year the Aggies were given a 12-seed.
“Yeah we have a lot of confidence in ourselves, we come from a winning program, and have high expectations. Certainly we have had some rough patches, much talked about, but in the end, these kids brought in, and I couldn’t be more proud to coach these young men and to see their investment and time be rewarded,” said Chis Jans, NMSU head coach.
This is the Aggies seventh trip to the tournament in the last nine years. The team also has not made it out of the first round since 1993.
