Affordable housing project planed for Albuquerque’s west side

More affordable housing is coming to Albuquerque.

Mayor Keller and City Councilor Cynthia Borrego signed a resolution approving grant funding for a new project on Albuquerque’s west side.

The Cibola Loop area will cater to residents living 80 percent below the city’s median income level.

It will offer affordable homes, a library, pool and a multi-generational center.

“To help keep the communities healthy and informed and active, and so I’m excited about that,” Councilor Cynthia Borrego said.

Councilor Borrego is hopeful that the area will be ready by the end of the year.
