The Albuquerque BioPark and Animal Welfare teamed up to help local animals Sunday.
Animal Welfare hosted its mobile adoption unit at the Aquarium and Botanic Garden courtyard.
All adoptions were just $10 and any adopting families received a four-pack of tickets to the BioPark.
Dogs and cats weren’t the only animals looking for homes either.
“These guys are specialized pets. The ferret rescue people say for one ferret that gets adopted out, five more come in so think twice before you get a pet,” said Holly Casman, ABQ BioPark aquarium manager.
Four local rescue organizations also attended the event.
